Superintendent Demetrius G. Beachum hails from the vibrant town of Mexia, Texas, where his journey as a beacon of faith and community leadership began. As the proud Pastor and founder of Ministry of H.O.P.E. C.O.G.I.C. in Marlin, Texas, established in April 2007, and Judah Worship Center C.O.G.I.C. in Temple, Texas, founded in January 2008, he has dedicated his life to serving others and spreading the transformative power of faith. Educated at Mexia High School, Superintendent Beachum pursued his passion for music at McLennan Community College, earning an associate degree in Commercial Music Performance.

He then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Texas College, furthering his academic pursuits and solidifying his foundation for future endeavors. Before answering his divine calling, Pastor Beachum honed his leadership skills as the Head Band Director for Chilton ISD for 13 years and Hearne ISD for three years, garnering accolades for his outstanding contributions to music education. Pastor Beachum's spiritual journey commenced at Cameron Chapel Church of God in Christ under the guidance of his father, Pastor J.W. Beachum. Inspired by his faith and mentored by spiritual leaders, he began preaching the gospel in June 2000 at Jude Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. in Chilton, Texas, under the tutelage of the late Supt. Lonnie D. Benson. Renowned for his dynamic preaching and unwavering commitment to soul-winning, Pastor Demetrius G. Beachum has traversed the United States, captivating audiences with his message of Healing, Overcoming, Perfecting, and Empowering through faith.

In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Beachum is a visionary community leader and founder of N.E.W. Nations, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing future generations of leaders. Through initiatives focused on education, entrepreneurship, and character development, N.E.W. Nations empowers individuals to realize their full potential. Under his guidance, N.E.W. Nations established a recreational center in Marlin, Texas, providing a hub for educational and recreational activities. Notably, the organization launched a skating rink in March 2016 and a multi-purpose gymnasium in May 2023, further enriching community engagement and development. Beyond his pastoral and community endeavors, Pastor Beachum's civic engagement is evident through his candidacy in the 2017 mayoral election in Marlin, Texas.

 

Additionally, he founded H.O.P.E. Daycare in 2013, offering essential childcare services to families in the Temple and Belton areas. Currently serving as the Superintendent of the H.O.P.E. District and Evangelism President of Texas Southwest 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Superintendent Beachum leads by example, guided by his steadfast commitment to faith, family, and community. Married to his beloved wife, Vickie Beachum, for over 25 years, he cherishes his role as a father to four children—LaQuesha, Jason, Janetra, and Elijah-and the joy of being a grandfather to two granddaughters, Sumer and Phenix, and one grandson, Xavier.
